- Library
Library (learning Resource Centre) plays a vital role in providing & nurturing knowledge and aiding in learning & teaching activities. The primary purpose of the library is to support teaching, research, academic and management programs.
The Library is well–stocked with a wide range of books, journals, news papers, statistics, periodicals, prescribed titles and the reference material. It is available to students from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM every day. The library catalogue containing details of all titles held is maintained for quick reference. A large number of journals are also available on regular subscription and more are on the way.
The Institute has a well – stocked library, consisting of reading rooms, references and lending sections. The Institute library has nearly 25,000 books and more than 5,000 titles in the field of Engineering and Humanities. Along with a rich collection of journals and periodicals on different topics, the library also has a wide and relevant collection of CD ROMs on various related subjects. The library can boost of world wide data search through Internet and e-mail, VCP, colour TV, Audio Visual aids on different subjects and reprographic facility available to the students.
- Hostel
To cater outstation students, DITE has arranged to offer a Hostel accommodation Quality mess facility. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The rooms are spacious, properly ventilated & provided with fans, coolars, air conditioners, tube lights and required furniture. Hostel has got the telephone receiving facility.
Every effort is made to ensure the comfort and safety of the students living in hostels. There is 24 hours Generator backup in all the hostel rooms and there are Resident Wardens.
Parents/ Guardians are required to ensure that students do not make frequent and long/unauthorized visits to their homes. This certainly would adversely affect their studies and performance.
Seats in the DITE hostels will be filled on “First come first serve basis”. There are one girl’s hostels and one boys hostel with the capacity of three hundred students. Students who make top ten positions in the college, the management provide them 10% concession in the hostel fee and 5% for the next ten and 2% for the 21st to 30th position.
